I believe underneath it’s an Alfa 8C - the revised bodywork isn’t as pretty as the original, in my opinion.

It’s a good looking car that looks like it came out of the 50s or some other 20th century decade but with a bunch of design bits stuck on it from modern day.
And that’s what makes it look awkwardly ugly.

It almost feels wrong to drive something this artful on public roads. It looks like the museum piece that it probably is.
The 8C, on the other hand, is something that I could picture actually being used. It’s beautiful, but in a more practical, less art-display manner.
